   Welcome to My Garden...

The film you are about to see is going to give you the education you need to be able to grow your own "amazing" vegetables. If you're not already a gardener you only need the decision to do what you are about to see being done. If you are already a gardener, I think you will enjoy seeing what I do in my little garden... and I'd love to see what you can do in yours!

Good Nurseries

My Experience with Nurseries

A good nursery in the neighborhood is a real asset.

I've found that the larger nurseries and those in the big box stores can be a trying experience.  Usually there are lots of plants that just won't do well at all in our area, but would do fine in some location 100 miles away.

Beautiful, delicate little Primrose plants, very aesthetic in any garden, will last about a week in our spring weather.  Onion sets meant for climates with much longer summer days than ours are offered and people trustfully buy them.

Ask a clerk about something at your own peril.  If he's typical of most, he'll give you any answer he thinks you'll accept.  I continually shake my head in wonder at some of the nonsense I over-hear being given to trusting customers.  No wonder so many people don't think they have a "green thumb," and just give up.

For many years I've ordered nearly everything I use from www.groworganic.com.  They put out a truly informative catalog, loaded with information and factual answers to every imaginable question a gardener might have.
